Beach, Art, Surf and Relax

I think that Puerto Colombia is a very nice place for to practique sea sports like Surf, Windsurf, Kitesurf, Paddle surf, among others.

Is located in a estrategical point in the Caribbean Sea, by car to 15 minutes to Barranquilla, 45 minutes to the North of Cartagena, 111 minutes to Bello Horizonte in Santa Marta. Chosen by excellence by artist, musicians, painters, sculptors, dancers, writers and others; Sportsmen like Carlos Bacca, born here.

In Puerto Colombia, still you can find, that the people is happy because theirs knows that are living in a Paradise, even in the midle of the ruins of the port; the sea is magic, it satisfies everyone, some days the waves are great and strong perfects for who loves sea sports; another days after it rains the sea is in complete calm, with beautiful colors, green, blue and silver; but some days, are like us, the human, is stirred, and brings leaves, sticks and sediments that comes from the Magdalena River, This sea can to show you the feelings of the humans, througth the changes that it have, is like a humans that we have changes, showing us that we are part of the Nature and we have too many similarities.  Ingrith Velez (Expert in Psychosocial Risk and Owner of Rina's House).

According to Wikipedia, Puerto Colombia is a coastal town and municipality in Atlántico DepartmentColombia founded in the mid 1800s. Famous for its "Pier of Puerto Colombia", that at one time was the largest Pier in the world. Duties were later transferred to the larger and modern Port of Barranquilla in Bocas de Cenizas, the mouth of the Magdalena River in the Caribbean sea.

The town enjoyed a glorious post-colonial period as the main port on the Caribbean coast of Colombia, where most European immigrants entered the country. In the second half of the 20th century, Puerto Colombia faced a rapid decline, eclipsed by Barranquilla, the capital of Atlántico.

Thanks to recent free trade agreements with Canadathe United States of America and many European countries, the municipality has been included in Barranquilla's metropolitan area and its port has undergone large-scale redevelopment. The focus of important public-private partnerships, Puerto Colombia is expected to regain its prominent role as the main sea port of Colombia within a decade.

Barranquilla is an amazing city, warm and with happy faces, is a center of business of the North of Colombia in the Caribbean sea; Barranquilla is more than Carnival, is a place where you can find art everywhere, walking around the city, in each corner; also you can feel the music, all sounds of Colombia music, and the influence of African music, and music from around the world. For me, Barranquilla is the perfect comibation for Business and Rest trip, or each one separately. Ingrith Vélez Ramos (Expert in Psychosocial Risk Management and Owner of Rina's House, Rest and Business Trip).

According to Wikipedia, Barranquilla (American Spanish: [baraŋˈkiʝa]) is a city and municipality located in northern Colombia. Barranquilla is located near the Caribbean Sea. The city is located in the Atlántico Department, of which it is the capital. Barranquilla is the largest city and port in the northern Caribbean Coast region of Colombia, with a population of 1,228,300 as of 2017,[3] which makes it Colombia's fourth most populous city after BogotáMedellín and Cali.

Barranquilla lies strategically next to the delta of the Magdalena River, 7.5 kilometres (4.7 miles) (originally 25 kilometres (16 miles) before rapid urban growth) from its mouth at the Caribbean Sea, serving as port for river and maritime transportation within Colombia. It is also the main industrial, shopping, educational and cultural centre of the Caribbean Region of Colombia. The city is the core of the Metropolitan Area of Barranquilla, which also includes the municipalities of SoledadGalapaMalambo, and Puerto Colombia.

Barranquilla was legally established as a town on April 7, 1813, although it dated from at least 1629. It grew into an important port, serving as a haven for immigrants from Europe, especially during and immediately following World War I and World War II, when waves of additional immigrants from the Middle East and Asia arrived. Barranquilla became Colombia's principal port, and with its level of industrialization and modernity earned the city the nickname Colombia's Golden Gate (Spanish: La Puerta de Oro de Colombia). In the 1940s, Barranquilla was the second largest city in Colombia and one of the most modern cities in the Caribbean and in South America, while later, local administrations, due to widespread corruption in their ranks, brought about a decline in the standard of living. As government investment increased in other Colombian cities, Barranquilla's national position was eclipsed.

The city is home to one of the most important folk and cultural festivals of Colombia, the Carnival of Barranquilla, which was declared a National Cultural Heritage by the Congress of Colombia in 2001 and recognized by UNESCO in 2003. Ernesto Cortissoz International Airport, built in Barranquilla in 1919, was the first airport in South America. The city is served by domestic and international flights.
